Ceramic Coating the certified manner

OPTiX Ceramic Coating the proper application
The correct application for a successful OPTiX ceramic coating with OP888 and OP1 as per certified requirements includes 2 layers. Each layer must solidify which takes about 15 to 30 minutes from application. Once the coating has crystallised on the surface it now needs to cure to complete the bond to maximum strength. This bonding process is based on time vs heat. If no additional heat is used to speed up the curing process then it is recommended the first layer be allowed to cure for a minimum of 4 to 6 hours. The optimal curing process with or without heat is to coat on separate days. We prefer to use the “separate day” due to or success using this method over many years of ceramic coating applications. If heat is used like an infra-red heat lamp then it is possible to apply 2 layers in one day.
Others say they can do it less than one day?
Chances are they are only doing one coat and possibly not bothering to cure before allowing the car to leave. Simply put it’s a rushed job and unlikely to last. Remember anyone can buy any brand of coating and do it cheap. Ask yourself are you wanting a cheap job or a good job?
Some brands give out certifications and big warranties to almost anyone that asks? Yep unfortunately there will always be big budget companies that have millions to spend in marketing and hand out their product and warranties like they were printed on the back of a cereal box.
OPTiX can be OPTiX OP888 and Candy POP can be purchased by the public and some will do the right thing and some will be only using the product to do cheap rushed work. Certified OPTiX applicators worked hard to earn the right as a certified OPTiX applicator.
This makes it hard for OPTiX to grow because trust isn’t something that is handed out easily. That gives piece of mind for our customers when deciding why they should chose OPTiX for their coating.
