Swirls, buff marks and paint correction
The black paint on this Porsche 911 is badly cared for as seen on the video. AutoFX WA the best car detailers of Perth was given the chance to perform a miracle paint correction challenge and the results speak for itself as seen on the video.
Paint correction is an official term widely used internationally that simply means Car Polishing to the finest degree, to the highest of standards that is a highly skill set that takes many years of experience to get right, to be efficient and to be able to perform it without causing costly damage to the vehicle.
Many thanks to the owner of this beautiful 911 (Porsche car club WA member) for having the confidence in AutoFX WA to do the job.
AutoFX WA are the car detailing experts.
Below is the side view showing the paint is not it’s original colour nor gloss.
Light is defused and light refracts showing up millions of tiny scratches within the paint.
The cause is from
1)poor buffing & polishing.
2)poor understanding and lack of technique in the maintenance and care of the paint.
3)lack of LSP like waxes, sealants and/or other paint protection
Below is the finished result of a paint correction taking 20 hours.
Below is 3 lines of holograms which are caused by the buffer and more commonly know as buff marks.
Notice to crisp clean clear reflection of light now?
Buff marks, swirls, marring & holograms
Without all those little imperfections in the paint to allow the light to refract in means the paint has perfect clarity that brings more depth.
