When this iconic XY Phase 3 351 GT arrived at our O’Connor workshop to prepare for the All Ford Day car show, the objective was strict preservation, not reckless perfection. With older single-stage paint—whether dealing with original factory finish or older repair work—the material is thin, brittle, and unforgiving.

We focused heavily on meticulous preparation and careful mechanical refinement rather than chasing speed. Every badge, chrome trim piece, and aged rubber seal was carefully isolated to prevent damage. Using a highly calculated, conservative polishing approach, we pulled out natural depth and clarity while respecting the existing film build. True presentation work means making the vehicle look deeply cared for under real light, not buried under artificial, greasy fillers that temporarily mask reality for the camera.
