The Correction Phase ($1,200): The depth in the Victory Red paint was achieved through a rigorous, multi-stage correction process:
- The Tools: We utilized OPTIX DA Polishers for the heavy lifting and the Rupes LHR75 for precision work in the Clubsport’s intricate body lines and tight gaps.
- The Method: Using a combination of OPTIX Compounds and Polishes paired with specific OPTIX Pads, we systematically leveled the clear coat. This wasn’t just about removing swirls; it was about refining the finish until the paint looked like a mirror.
The Coating Phase ($900): Once the correction was finalized, the preparation for protection began:
- The Prep: A full IPA (Isopropyl Alcohol) wipe-down was performed to strip any remaining polishing oils, ensuring a surgical bond for the coating.
- Layer One: The first application of OPTIX OP888 Ceramic Coating was laid down to create the initial 9H glass-ceramic barrier.
- The Cure & Layer Two: We allowed the first layer to settle overnight. The next day, a second layer of OP888 was applied, adding a sacrificial thickness that enhances both the physical protection and the deep, wet-look gloss.
