Lexus LX600 FMJ Graphene Coating, Interior X and Fabric Protection
This brand new Lexus LX600 came in looking every bit the premium vehicle it is.
Pearl white exterior.
Bright red leather interior.
Black highlights.
Big, comfortable, sporty and properly finished.
The fit and finish on these is genuinely nice.
This one received a full protection package using OPTiX FMJ Graphene coating on the exterior, Interior X on the leather and plastics, and OPTiX fabric waterproofer on the fabric areas.
The exterior process started with the usual preparation.
Two-bucket wash.
Decontamination.
Clay where required.
Thorough blow dry.
Masking around areas we wanted to protect from the machine polisher.
Then a quick single-stage machine polish before final wipe-down and isopropyl alcohol wipe-down.
That preparation is not just busy work.
The polish refines the clear coat surface and improves clarity, gloss and reflection before coating.
That is where the finish starts.
New cars are not always perfect. Even when they look clean, they can still benefit from light refinement before coating.
Once the surface is properly prepared, OPTiX FMJ Graphene coating adds the next part.
FMJ is not just there to “lock in” the prep.
It adds a tough bonded coating layer over the paint.
That glass-like coating finish helps protect the surface from UV, washing, road grime, bird droppings, tree sap and general environmental wear.
It also pushes the gloss, slickness, reflections and depth further again.
That is the coating message we believe in.
Preparation creates the clarity by refining the clear coat.
FMJ adds tough bonded protection and another level of gloss over the top.
This LX600 received two layers of FMJ.
Layer one was applied after the preparation stage. Layer two followed the next day, giving the coating system time to build properly rather than rushing everything in one hit.
The interior was also protected.
Interior X was applied to the leather and plastic surfaces, including areas like the dash, doors and console.
The red leather interior is a big part of what makes this Lexus feel special, so protecting it properly makes sense from day one.
The fabric areas were treated with OPTiX waterproofer to help resist spills and moisture absorption.
Interior protection is not about making everything greasy or shiny.
It is about helping the materials stay easier to clean and better protected while keeping the factory feel.
