The blog for started by Des owner of AutoFX WA. The intention for the blog is to show case information of services & products with helpful tips or guides for guys that want to know bit more in the detailing, guard rolling, polishing, protection & paint protection film wraps.

Before Des started his detailing business back in 2001 he found that there was almost no information available for the general public to research and no blogs.

The 2 main reasons were,

1. No one in Australia at the time was really a true specialist. At the time the skill of paint correction and paint protection didn’t exist.
2. Any limited information in Australia was with held by the people in the business of selling car wash businesses. This reserved knowledge and any trade secret only to people that could afford to buy into a franchise.

Being confronted by the above Des decided to start documenting some of his business activities like results and processes. The results and processes Des wanted to learn were unheard of back in 2001. A time when there was no social media, no YouTube, and the fastest internet being 56k.
